Nature of Scheduled Events: All events
scheduled at the BCC must be compatible with the mission
of the University and educational or community service in
nature. Use of the BCC for fund-raising purposes is limited
to charitable and other community service non-profit organizations.
Note: Events of an exclusively social nature are not permitted.
Restrictions:
1) The BCC shall be used only in accordance with federal,
state and local laws and shall not be used for the purpose
of organizing or carrying out unlawful activities.
2) Groups may use the Center only for the purpose specified
in the agreement, which may not include unauthorized commercial
activities.
3) Groups may not assign or sublet the facilities to, or
allow it to be used by, another party.
SFSU Groups: Faculty, staff and recognized
student organizations may use the BCC for educational or
professional activities provided that fiscal responsibility
is accepted in writing by the appropriate Administrative
Department Head or College Dean. (Student groups must also
have written approval of the organization’s faculty
advisor.)
Publicity: No publicity by the user group
in connection with the event scheduled at the BCC may implicate
the University in the sponsorship, approval, or support
of the event, without the express written permission of
the University.
Hold Harmless Provision:
Lessee shall hold harmless, indemnify and defend the State
of California, the Trustees of the California State University,
San Francisco State University and the officers, employees,
volunteers and agents of each of them from and against any
and all liability, loss, damage, expense, costs of every
nature, and causes of actions arising out of or in connection
with the use by the Lessee of said property.
